September 7 – September 20
September 7 – Police received a report of a bicycle which was stolen from a residence on 2nd Street sometime during the day.
A female reported that a male under the condition not to contact her breached his condition. The male could not be located, and police are seeking a warrant for his arrest for the charge of Disobeying a Court Order.
September 8 – While on patrol, police observed a male travelling on a 50cc motor scooter without a helmet and proceeded to conduct a traffic stop, during which time police learned the male did not possess a valid driver’s licence and the street-legal scooter was uninsured. He was issued tickets for Driving while disqualified ($672) and Driving without motor vehicle liability insurance ($672).
September 9 – A female reported that her vehicle was vandalized on August 23rd while parked at her residence on Coulter Drive and the damage consisted of scratches on multiple parts of the vehicle.
Police received a disclosure regarding a sexual assault involving an 18-year-old female and 13-year-old male. Police later located the female and arrested her for Sexual Interference, Forcible Confinement, Invitation to Sexual Touching, Sexual Assault with a Weapon and Assault with a Weapon. She was released on an Undertaking with a court date at Morden Provincial Court.
September 10 – While monitoring traffic on Main Street, police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and obtained a speed reading of 83 km/h in the 50 km/h zone. A traffic stop was conducted, and the driver was issued a ticket for Speeding ($482).
September 12 – While conducting a traffic stop, police observed an empty liquor can inside the centre console of the vehicle and the driver complied to a demand for a breath sample, which resulted in two “Fail” readings. The driver was issued an Immediate Roadside Prohibition, which carried a $700 fine, 90-day driver’s licence suspension and 30-day vehicle impoundment.
Police were dispatched to a residence regarding an assault and upon arrival learned that two males were assaulted by a third male, who was subsequently arrested for Assault (x2) and released on an Undertaking with a court date at Morden Provincial Court.
September 14 – Police received a report of a disturbance taking place at a residence between a male and female. Upon arrival, police spoke with the female who advised that she was assaulted by her husband and police subsequently arrested him for Assault and released him on an Undertaking with a court date at Morden Provincial Court.
September 15 – Staff of a local business reported damage that occurred several days earlier to an item of property located outside the business. Video footage was provided to police, and this file is still under investigation.
Staff of a local gas station reported that a teenage male left the store without paying for an item of merchandise. The male suspect was located and served a banishment notice on behalf of the store, during which time his parents were advised of the incident.
September 17 – A male reported a fraudulent e-transfer that was made from his account without his authorization. This file is still under investigation.
A female reported that a male under the condition not to be near her breached his condition. The male was located, arrested for Failing to Comply with an Undertaking and released on an Appearance Notice.
September 18 – Police received a report from a male who advised that numerous unauthorized withdrawals were made from his account over the past several months. This investigation is ongoing.
Police were dispatched to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Park Street and Highway 14. Police learned that a northbound vehicle proceeded into the intersection and was struck by an eastbound vehicle. The driver of the northbound vehicle was issued a ticket for Proceeding before it is safe to do so ($174).
September 19 – Police received a report regarding a female who entered the complainant’s residence without his permission. This file is still under investigation.
